Ah, rosé. From the softest blush to the threshold of crimson, so beautiful in the glass. Let it work its seductive charm from the bottle with little to obscure the visage.
Segura Viudas clearly understands this. No billboard label for their Brut Rosé Cava. Just their classic emblem, printed in gold with black detail and die-cut, plus a small pale pink transparent panel for type that closely matches the colour of the wine. The panel is likely necessary to obscure the printing on the back of the bottle.
The back label is clear with white type. Again, letting the plush colour shine through. The brand story and tasting notes are brief. Perhaps owing to the plethora of other required information.
The silver foil reflects the lightness of mousse, bubbling atop the sparkling rosy Cava. A pink band at the bottom of the foil banners the word Rosé. Once removed it reveals the crown cap, branded with the emblem.
The wine rewards with sparkle and strawberry freshness. An experience enhanced by the elegance of the packaging. You’d pay more than four times the price to equal this delight from Champagne.
