Paul Mas Le Rosé

Daryl Woods Publisher/Reviewer

Is it even necessary to analyze and critique the appeal of the Paul Mas Le Rosé packaging? Look at it! All floral, pink, and pretty! A near-perfect package for rosé.

Near perfect? Yes. It missed the opportunity to be an easily upcycled bottle. See the review for Protea rosé—the best of 2023 package designs.

So, what do we mean by upcycling? In this case, it’s about reusing the bottle in creative ways once the wine is gone. Le Rosé’s continuous floral design is a great feature, making it an attractive vessel for repurposing as a vase or water container. But there’s one flaw—the labels aren’t easy to remove, unlike the Protea bottle, which excels at offering a second life.

A simple fix? Make the labels more removable for a truly eco-friendly package.

Tip: to remove any wine label, fill the bottle with boiled water and wait a few minutes. It will peel right off.

Much like the packaging, you don’t need to overthink this wine.  It’s fresh, fruity, and dry—a great summer sipper and good value.
